how the hell do you change the lens on these things?? (short of taking one of those funsize crowbars to it). yes i read the instructions, which in a sense makes it worse... but anyway

1/ the goggle strap doesnt want to come out... im turning and pulling, but dont wana break the plastic frame. do i jus pull harder?

2/ does the plastic frame just peel off from round the lens? i can get the logo one off, but the rest seem somewhat relctant to move, again is this just a matter of "pull you limp wristed idiot!!"?

thankyou for your time:rolleyes:

very very hard work to change an invision lens. I never remove the strap. when putting back together i use neat washing up liquid on the lugs as it makes it easier the next time.

I managed to remove the lens the first time after about 1/2 an hour

have you never like taken the mask to pieces to clean it before???

or maybe thats just us profiler owners that can do that as we push teo little clips off and the lens pops off :p

yeah, apparently its trial and error, a mate spend about an hour trying to do his so he could fully clean it, only to then struggle to put it back together :p funny story... i think you have to work out for yourself by wiggling more and more, up until it feels like your going to break something

yea, i've got one mate....the strap bits, jst pull as hard as u can and twist it slightly...and pull down on it as well...

then jst pull the rest of the lens frame off the goggle, undoing the top bits on either side first...

then for the lens...get your fingers between the lens and the frame either side of the logo...in-between the logo and the next fastener... then slide ur fingers along and pull over the logo...****ING HARD WORK!!! lol

then just un-do the rest of it...

as for putting it back together...start with the nose bit by pinching the frame together and sliding one side of the lens into position...then push the rest of the bottom in, which normally gets the nose-clips in...

then jst put the rest of it together...takes about half an hr in total, and u get very sore fingers!!! :D

you don't have to take the straps off to change the lense and neither do you need to.

firstly, work the frame off the DYE logo on the front of the lense with your thumb and then work the tabs off (not break em) around the lense.

but yeh ... first time its pretty hard =/ but can be done!!

Location, Location.
when youve got it all apart, leave the frame to soak in some hot water for a while which should soften it up and aid the reassembley

It does get easier after a few times. Can be a pain in the arse the first one though. A bit of BFI is the answer (Brute Force & Ignorance) ;).

think you should get a new lens frame and put a spare lens in that, then just switch them... then, you aren't desperate to get a lens out of the frame and a new one in, youll have a spare. if they really are this much hassle, thats what ill be doing with mine :)
