A spot of grease on the barrel thread won't hurt at all.

Tank sounds iffy though, but quite lucky it's from a shop and can be replaced.

Maybe an idea would be to go for a steel tank for now and invest in a new fibre tank when you make it to an event or big game, the traders like LiPS, Just Paintball and BZ usually have some pretty sweet deals
