aagh i'm being talked about. Um Bath uni has a rifle club which supposedly has a paintball part to it, however all they managed this year is one rec day. In September going to contact president if he won't sort out a team for the event will hopefully get together 5 randoms or mates and jolly on up, give me a shout and if i'm sorting anything will include you. Bath uni will never have a proper team other than for this event as the rifle club is probably the most disorganised club in the uni and i am taking no part in the exec (red hot are enough to organise let alone a bunch of students, just ask the DUPS lot).
If you fancy playing with a fellow Bath uni student red hot are looking for players. Come along to our next practise if you fancy it. Anyways my email is hicksalex@hotmail.com.

Bath Uni Team

Was looking at other uni's and they have societies, and teams within th esociety.. I know quite a few people who would be up for paintballing, so maybe it would be an idea to set up a dedicated paintball society, perhaps with some deals with a local sight, e.g. hamburger hill. And then from the society you could set up maybe a couple of teams to compete in leagues, like an A and B team if enough people are interested.

Good luck to you then. I used to be team captain for Durham university it was a complete nightmare trying to get a team together, and since i've left they havn't even managed one tourney. If you get something going then I'd play the inter-uni with you but I've had my time attempting to organise a uni paintball team. You try getting students to get out of bed at 4 am and then spend 60 - 100 quid on a days paintball. It's ok trying to get people along for one rec day (well almost) but try getting a consistant squad together to play tourneys. If you have quite a number of commited people and some of them have transport then you might be lucky, however if you don't have anyone with cars or old enough to hire them how do you get to tourneys?
By all means try it and good luck to you but i tell you, you have a hard job on your hands.

sorry probably sounded too off putting it is worth a try but as i say it's a battle, and i've already faught my part. As for teams if you are commited and willing to practise and learn then most teams would be willing to take you on. Most new players don't take long to hold their own within a team. Last year we were a new team with three players who had never played a tourney, qualified for first division in our first event and ended up not far below middle of the table, then on our 3rd got a 1st place, been collecting tropheys since. As i said before we are looking for players at the moment. We are based in the south west and i'm also at Bath uni so come along to our next practise if you feel like it.
