Can someone please tell me why an Inferno (bog standard site gun running on CO2 with anti syphon) fires perfectly well until hopper & paint attached, then will only fire once and fails to re-cock? Tried removing bolt, cleaning, oiling & re-filling gas. Doesn't chop paint, just wont re-cock. Cheers!

u sure your not short stroking the trigger? wouldnt think that the bolt would bounce off a paintball and not re cock to much force behind it would have though it would just chop the paint and smeg in the breech. Ever a trigger or valve problem:confused:

Thanks Guys

Dont think i'll try the revvie...we're talking site guns here, rather expensive.... I'll check the valve as you suggested Mr T. Nope, not short stroking & not using Diablo either (but know what you mean!) ..i think the paint we had was nelson tourney paint...quite fragile, but it didnt break in the breech anyway. Not sure how old it was, seemed fine. Any other suggestions if not the valve?

I shall try these suggestions tomorrow...would a worn ball detent actually stop the gun re-cocking. It wasnt double feeding... If it re-cocked using a revvie (i could try it) what would that suggest and how could i solve the prob using abog standard viewloader hopper? It only fails to re-cock WITH paint, not without it.

Chunk:- probably not very good for the gas bottle or the gun! usually a quick tug on the cocking handle after oiling the bolt works better than a gradual pull, if the handle is jammed. Hitting with gas bottle not recommended!

Inferno Problem

Where I work our new infernos do that, we try turning the gun down and oiling the hammer. But the site manager is sending 1 down 2 arrow so they can tell us what the exact problem is. When I find out i'll post it for ya.
