Tom did you go and check the little one? As at 1 amp it "is" enough to do it..on paper, but as you well know voltage fluctuation will drop this and less than 1 amp and you will get a battery code fault...the original part number is well powerful enough and the Angel (of whatever flavour) will only draw the required juice. I cannot believe that people will try and save pennies when charging a product of the value of an Angel...and then whine later on when it costs them double or more the cost of a decent mains charger for a repair/replacement of parts. The unit you first gave is the same spec as an older version Maplin used to sell and that unit was the one that Fraser reccomended for the reasons of decent ampage and avoidence of battery code faults.

Seems to me that these new A4's go on for ever anyway.....

Since I bought it back at the end of november, I've tinkered with it, i've played with it twice, i've shown it to loads of people, and I keep taking to my aunt's to shoot it in the garden........

I havn't charged it once, and there's not even a bar missing on the battery meter!!!!!!!!!!

Must get one of these for the Wife. She'll appreciate that for when I'm out for like 10 hours on a Sunday:D

If you do, they do a mains to cigarette adapter for £20...

I haven't had a chance to get to Maplins yet, but i agree the larger one would be a better bet, and for only £5 more. I will get one and try it, but it may be tomorrow before i get to Maplins.

Don't ask for a charger, it's an adaptor that converts mains to 12v (13.8v), which must supply at least 1 amp, 2 amp or more is better.

Hi Chunk,

Yes, it is Halfords own make, comes in a blue box (their part code in small print on the rear of the box is 425132) and it just says 'mains adapter' on it. Apparently suitable for devices upto 5 amp. Works just fine for me :)

You just plug that into the mains and then plug your Angel charger into the 12v socket on that (then obviously your Angel to the Angel charger but you knew that bit ;) )
