Hey, I wasn't implying that you were, but they're bent up to fit the marker that the bottles were fitted to at the time of fitting (which would be your inferno, right?). :D

If you've got a new bottomline, then the threads might be different enough to make the bottle screw in further... or not as far... either way, your anti-syphon becomes a syphon... geddit?

If you WANT liquid CO2 flooding your nice shiny new Impy then go ahead... I was just saying that for £4, it's peace of mind and not all that hard.

What you *could* do if you're not able to get it checked out before you next play is to screw the bottle back onto the original marker that the anti-syphon is set for, mark the top of the bottle yourself, then screw it into the impy and see if the mark is in the same place. If so, then chances are the anti-syphon will at least be as good as it was for the inferno, and will work (assuming it was set correctly for the inferno).

easy way to test where the anti-syphon tube is is to open the valve without attaching the bottle to the gun, pointing it away from you and rotate the bottle untill you get a flow of liquid co2 from it, this meens you are drawing liquid....it also meens that the tube is pointing downwards....so rotate the bottle 180 degrees and that is the way up you want it on your gun...mark the top and then screw it into your gun.
a few degrees out is ok but anymore than 45 degrees and you run the risk of drawing liquid if you tip your gun whilst playing.

i took a couple of bottles into planet a few weeks ago to have the tubes set for my new dropline and they didnt even charge me...nice folks :)

its actually not that hard to do yourself....just take the valve out they bottle (using a big spanner and a vice if you have one) then screw the valve into the gun and mark the top....remove the valve and bend the anti-syphon tube toward the top...then loctite the valve back into the bottle....let it set, fill bottle...presto ;) :p
