I just bought a impy vision with a maxflo co2 connector, and the person said that I need to have my co2 bottle resetted (or anti siphon realigned) for the impy.

can anyone enlighten me if this is true?

Im sure they wouldnt lie to you!
The reason for it is...........
If you dont have an anti-siphon for your bottle, you will draw liquid into your marker, making it freeze up.

probably, i used to have an eclipse MK2 dropline which my antisyphon fitted perfectly, since then i have started using an in-line reg and my bottle's anti syhpon is is now upside down, so yes you it needs to be changed, OR, try inserting an o-ring into the bottomline before you put the bottle in, this will stop the bottle goin in as far, by say, half a twist thus producing the anti-syphon back the right way up.

catch my drift?

My co2 bottle's antisyphon isnt exactly lined up with my max-flow, but once the co2 is turned on there is no way it can come out. Try screwing the bottle in, then line up the anti-siphon just before it screws all the way in and turn the gas on.

Unless its a pin-valve then i would get it re-done.

Mint,

It cost me less than £20 to get a shiny new Smart Parts CO2 valve (quarter turn) and Anti-Syphon fitted... it's dirt cheap and well worth it. :D:D:D

If you got yourself a nice vision impy, surely that extra £20 isn't gonna break the bank?
