impy filter

There is a filter in the impulse it is a long metal one runs inside the chamber on the right hand side of the body where the tpeworm(if you have 1)screws into, through to the blanking allen plug at the back of marker lower right of the hammer housing(some people put a gauge to check lpr output in that plug)

there is indeed a filter in an impy BUT only on mid 2k1 and earlier models, as far as i am aware late 2k1's and 2k2's dont have filters in, i have taken mine out on my spare impy and hasnt made any difference at all and no sign of crap in the internals either and i service it regularly... hope that clarifies summin

Actually I just took apart a brand new impy (made around mid-2003) to fit an LPR and it still has the filter. Annoying, because they're slightly too long to fit the LPR nipple in. I cut them down, other people just take them out altogether.

Unless you are using really dirty air, the filter should never need cleaning.
