ive read a lot of bad stuff about the evil bolt, ppl claim that it chops a lot... i've never used it, so i wouldnt know, but its worth a try if you can borrow someones bolt.

Thanks Tom, Ill whack a standard bolt in and give it a go tomorrow after work.
I did notice as well the feed neck was protruding a very small amount into the chamber so ive re fitted the feed neck so it doesnt anymore.

I know you said you have new detents in her, but have u checked there working ok 2. I.e the detent is retracting smoothly as ball passes. if its only breaking 1 in 10 and its 100% not the bolt might be worth checkign out.
Detents are brand new and working fine, i bought a Vodoo bolt today so ill give that a go later as well.
I like the voodoo's worked good on one of mine.
Put a big freak insert on for testing buddy ++692.
Fire shots slowly like one a second and see if you still pop. Don't walk the trigger.
Try this test buddy...............
"The Evil logo button on the back end fell off during the first game. CONSISTENTLY BREAKS BALLS. I'm not talking barrel breaks here but breaks on the bolt and up the feed tube. The blowback pressure is terrible. Some forums say it's because of air leaking past the detent grooves. With no hopper on and two balls in the feed tube, when you shoot the one ball the second ball flies 4 feet up into the air. With the stock bolt, the second ball doesn't even move."

Got home and put the vodoo bolt in, went out and fired a hopper and got about 5 breaks in 140 balls so its better.
Came in and put a dye boom stick on it.
only got 1 break
its getting better but it still wont run at full pace.
Took the eye out to clean it and found that it was mounted so it points upwards at an angle so it may have been detecting balls before they were completely in the chamber allowing it to fire.
Gonna give it another go in a bit as ive modified it to sit at 90 degrees in the breech.

Sorted It!!!
It was the Eye pointing in the wrong direction now its pointing right then its ripping like a good un with NO chops!!!
A bit annoying as the eye was like this as it came from smart parts and needed modifying
