Impulse Chopping

OK ive been through pretty much everything on my impy to stop it chopping.

Input pressure 175
dwell about 13 beeps
all very recently serviced and lubed
eye is working
Bolt is OK
detents are new

and it still shops when i try to fire it fast.

after yesterdays discussions with my team we think it might be something to do with the length of the feed neck, i have a SP no rise and a Cut down egg feed neck so its pretty short.

has anyone had a problem with a short feed neck and chopping?

i havent had the time to look to see how many balls are in the feed neck but i can do that when i get home.

cheers

sounds to me like it could possibly be your loader. My g7 doesnt like the reloader-b coz it feeds a little too much after ive stopped fireing and fractures paint in the feed neck. When the bolt hits the weakened paintball its soup time. Then i tried a mates egg and no chops all day long. if your using a force fed loader either lower the speed to its lowest setting and if that doesnt solve it borrow a mates egg. Hope that helps.:)

If your eye is working then it shouldnt be anything to do with blowback, or the loader not keeping up, as the gun shouldn't shoot unless a paintball is loaded.

Paint is something to consider. Impys are hard on paint, you should fire between 4 and 6 bounce paint through them, regardless of make.
