all depends on the retailer i guess. Some may be prepared to take responceablity (sp) for the package till it gets to you (or at LEAST the UK). On the other side of the coin, some may not as soon as it leaves their store. Trick is to always check out the retailers terms of sale on the site, if they don't have one don't order.

2nd hand goods : i have no idea. I guess its still based on how much worth the sender applies to the marker, and how it is tagged up for customs.

To be on the safe side, i just don't order from outside the UK. Its just not worth the hassle IMHO.

if you are buying from a company that sells on ebay then you should be able to use a credit card or some secure guaranteed servive. on CC if you get conned you can get the money back from them.

when buying stuff from shops if you don't have a person in america. then get the invoice/recipt sent by mail and the goods shipped maked up with warrenty replacement.

you should know all of this due to the fact we have told you many-a-times at the pub, oh i forgot you often don't turn up:)

If the package has no value on it and contains no receipt /invoice then Customs CANNOT charge you VAT.

First shipment was marked "item for repair, old parts included" second shipment was marked sponsorship.

I got both within 2 days of ordering.
who did u order from?
