Now you probably have these things in your room called 'windows', and I'm guessing that they're currently covered by some 'blinds' or similar. Try opening the 'blinds' and then the 'window' to let some fresh air into your world. - Now at first your eyes may hurt due to what we on the outside world call 'sunlight'. But don't worry, you'll soon get used to it! :D

I am outside I’d say 6 hours a day at least (telephone engineer). But recently I’ve been covering in the office, so I’m confined to a desk :(

The 'window' next to me is opened, but the work i do just doesn't satisfy me, thus my imagination runs quite wild. I am a 'vibrant' person that gets 'bored' very easy.

Check out my other story for more ramblings of a ‘mental’ ‘nature’.

Yes, I have to say I particularly enjoy perusing your rather intruguing stories of an action packed nature. Keep 'em coming!

Trying to be relevant to the post: p8ntball punk 316, sounds like cool idea this blast camp thing. I heard about some kind of 'paintball camp' somewhere before and it sounds like a fantastic idea. I can't think of any better way to spend a week of my summer holiday than to play paintball constantly!! I bet the paint bill racks up pretty quick though.

What type of Piranha are you looking into?

Piranha's don't have inherent problems with gas leaks as long as they are maintained, as with any marker. The only gas leaks I've heard of come from a worn or damaged cup seal or o-ring, which is almost always caused by not cleaning or oiling the marker.

The G2 series Piranha had a soft sear, which wore quite quickly. The new sears are much harder and do not wear. They are now standard fare on the G3 series and as replacement parts. Some of the G3 series markers had problems with loose vertical feeds (about 10% during initial production), but that problem has been resolved. If the VF does loosen, PMI will send out a new body with just a phone call (before you even send in your old unit).

I have a Piranha G3 Pro TS, and like mine enough that I just ordered a G3 Pro EXT for my wife. For the price, PMI puts out a decent marker, but you may want to check out PMI support in your area. I've heard that support in the UK is a little weak for PMI.

If you get a G3 Pro EXT or G3 Pro TS, the markers come set up for low pressure, which seriously reduces ball breakage and quiets the marker down. They are definitely worth the extra money over an STS.

Thanks Tyguy, l wish my girlfriend would be into paintball, then it wouldn't look so bad when l spend this money !!
The advice you gave was brilliant thanks again,l was thinking of going for the g3 sts and upgrade with a barrel, regulator, siphon tube and run it on Co2,l will have a look at the pros.
Like you said finding support and dealers in the uk maybe a little difficult but l'll email pmi.
Our choice in the Uk is very limited and very exspensive, and personally l think there is an image problem over here. A few weeks ago l was at a rental, some guys had their own, flatline and m98, our marshalls were very sarcastic.
Do you ever feel outgunned or lacking accuracy when you come up against the more exspensive markers ?
thanks again.

Happy to help where I can.

I play once a week with a mix of walk-on and tourney players. The players' markers range from stock Spyders to Impulses to optioned-out Angels.

In terms of rate of fire, a Piranha G3 Pro can put out about 8 balls per second with a non-electro frame, which is enough to keep up with most any non-electro marker. The Impulses, Angels, Shockers, and new cheap electros definitely have a rate-of-fire advantage, though. Eventually, if I decide to start playing tournament, I will either buy an electro marker or at least upgrade my TS with an electro frame.

In terms of accuracy, I personally believe that my Piranha is as accurate as any other marker with a correct paint/barrel match. Decent paint matched correctly to a good barrel is more important than the marker that shoots the ball. That said, one advantage I've noticed my TS has over many other markers is consistency. My velocity rarely fluctuates more than a few fps, even with co2, which helps make for more accurate shots. I can go weeks without adjusting my regulator or velocity screw, and still keep it just under the field fps limits.

In terms of feeling outgunned, that's all psychology. There are a lot of players who think the marker makes the player. You definitely won't get automatic respect from tournament players with high-end markers, but I'm not out looking for respect based on my marker. I'm just trying to improve my skills right now, and my TS is a good marker to grow with.
