Ok, here i am again....how i end up reading these posts i don't know...

But whats the big deal in games fixing between 2 sister teams, i mean isn't that what they're there for? Why else would you enter them?

Its kinda like F1, schumacher and Irvine last season, Irvine was letting schumacher past near the end of the race to get more points and maintain his lead at the top of the table, now to me this is nearly the same but a smaller league where not everyone has 2 teams entered.

Ok so it is unfair to the other teams and they may get a bit pissed, but that cant be the only reason the of fixing of such games results in a banning, could it?

Ok, prove me wrong, but from what i've read its a bit harsh with the banning for something that may not have happened(It being fixed)

Fixing games is against the rules, and can have a major effect on the outcome of an event.

It's not unheard of for teams to fix games to get sister teams into the finals or prize money.

It's also been known to happen just to stop other teams from getting into the finals or winning an event...

That's why it is a problem and shouldn't be allowed.

Then they should stop the entering of sister teams, or have a system in place to stop them meeting. If its not allowed then they shouldn't allow them to potentially fix games/change the course of the event.

This is why when sister teams were playing in the finals (Ton Ton's) games were re-arranged so that they were played first.

Since it was the first game it ought to be a fair game as neither team knows how they will do subsequently.

The Enemy game in the Prelims should probably have been played first also, but it wasn't...

A few seasons behind the times there mate, I think little Rubenio might take offence at being called Eddie Irvine:p

Interesting point though, not sure it is what they're there for and I definately don't think it SHOULD be what they're there for.

Team Orders shouldn't come into Paintball, trouble is proving it

As Manike said, fixing games is against the rules. I've watched games where sister teams have fixed the result & spoken to guys who were on the field at the time, discussing the techniques they used to get the maximum points for each team without it looking too suspicious. I've also seen games where teams have lost by agreement so the team that beat them could come above a third team in the final standings; in fact I remember one particular tournament where all the teams except one that qualified for the finals fixed the games specifically so that other team would be placed as low as possible!

Philip - put yourself in the shoes of the other teams in that division. Due to sister teams fixing a result one of them goes through to playoffs INSTEAD of your team, would you be happy with the situation then?

What Liz just said about Team A losing to Team B to get Team B into the finals, I've seen that happen too, maybe teams from the same country shouldn't play each other, to prevent that "national pride/getting another local team into the finals over a foreign team" thing going on
