No, they use a word that describes what it is, i.e. rifle, pistol, etc. Weapon is a generic term describing anything used to inflict, or attempt to inflict, harm. This can be anything from a wooden spoon to a frozen chicken, from a metal bat to a marker.

Rest assured that if a paintball marker ever appears in a court case involving violence it will almost certainly be refered to as 'a', or 'the', weapon.

Um, when I was doing my time as a cadet all the officers were very clear on the point that it was a "weapon" or a "rifle". Anyways, that it not really relevant. What might be is whether a marker would be considered as a weapon of offence or an offensive weapon in such circumstances...

Anyways I am glad that paintballer has managed to help Reapage, that's what we're here for :D
