I understand you had a bad experience with a tippy, but if it was a rental, well I'm not suprised, the rentals at my local field are lucky to get a bucket of cold water at the end of a day, never mind a scrubbing and lubing. I've still got mine from when I started, and even now I pull it out sometimes and use it instead of my impulse. I put a 14 in nightstick, tippmann expansion chamber, and double trigger on it, and use a VL 9 volt, never break a ball. You know that ad with the M98 pressed into the drum of a steamroller and the outline of the gun pressed in the pavement, I swear that could be a real picture, the things are rugged.

However, if you don't want a tippy and want to save some money, go with a M3 Dragun Basic or other electro spyder clone, with a new spring kit and some decent care you've got yourself a fine entry tourney marker with enough cash for a revvi, barrel, airtank etc if you think you need them.

brass eagle

I like brass eagle(not their paint, it SUCKS!) I have an avenger II Its Awesome its a tournement grade gun. It has never chopped paint yet for the long time ive had it. Id recomend the afterburner or the brasseagle raptor extreme. Mabey even the raptor silver eagle. But if you want something top of the line, then get a Rainmaker from brasseagle. :) Its fully electronic
ROFL!:p Funny thing like Le-Pig said, he is being dead serious .:p

I'd say you probably need to shoot a few more markers and broaden your horizons. Brass Eagle equipment is fine for what it is (inexpensive entry level gear). I've shot both the Avenger and the Raptor and like I said, they are very much entry level. In fact, for about the same price, maybe less depending on where you shop, you can buy much better markers.

As far as the Rainmaker goes, I own one:( I bought it for $100 as a project gun and man o man is it ever a project. The thing is heavy, slow, and completely obsolete when compared with newer electros. It's basically a POS that I don't have the time or energy to turn into a useable marker. Give me $50 for it + shipping and it's yours.:D
