HSE are the UK Standard bottles regulated by the Health and Safety ExecutiveOriginally posted by QuackingPlums
Ok, so what does HSE and DOT stand for?
And what's the difference?
DOT are the American standard regulated by the Department of Transportation
DOT are tested to a higher pressure but HSE bottles are actually made to a higher standard!
In slightly simplified terms you cannot use the DOT bottles in the UK unless you are visiting the country from abroad. Residents must use HSE cylinders
Any other questions?
