If I start bad mouthing other sites/publications, what will happen?

Rancid - It's no big deal, true, but if people want to slate us than I wish they'd stay off these boards period. It's the two-facedness (Yes, it's a word...like cupboardy) that I don't like.
Bottom line is, if certain posters don't like the way things are run here, that's fine, and if they want to slam us elsewhere, that's fine too. But then don't come back and use these boards - have the courage of your convictions and stay away.

Nah, not naming, I just got a bit uppity....... I was involved in a "discussion" that was getting a bit unpleasant....... I was going to apologise (my wording had been unclear and looked threatening out of context) when I stumbled onto another site........at this point I realised the person I was about to apologise to was "policing" the threads looking for arguments......I then remembered a pm from weeks ago.... innocent at the time, but now an obvious bit of stirring. Anyway, I don't like people fighting my battles, I like people using me to get at someone else even less. (particularly as the thread I had deleted was complete and utter toss anyway).
Anyway, if P8 is that bad, why do so many people feel the need to go on about it?

If the thread you are refering to was in the newbie section, I deleted it because I saw the thread floating on a downward spiral. It amazes me how threads can start off with legitimate questions that true newbies ask and then be molded into bickering back and forth between seasoned players. No room for it, so it was deleted.

Duff, if you've met Paul before, you'd rethink that statement...he's a nice guy, but I can see him getting all ruthless. Then again, I like busting his chops, too.
As for the moderating here, I can't really complain...my own forums have gotten a bit out of hand from a tiny majority of hormonally imbalanced twits, and when we've laid the hammer down on them for being twits, of course they whined, sniveled and railed against the injustice of it all. What that sort tends to forget is that the site is privately owned, and it's the admin's discretion (or his moderators) as to what they feel is appropriate for their boards. Truthfully, I'm making an effort to run my boards more in lines with P8ntballer's level of scrutiny...seems to up the IQ of the converstation and keep the flamebait away.
So, if nothing else, P8ntballer is serving as an example of how it *should* be done. Keep up the good work.

ok, ive just seen one of the offending threads and i have to say they need to get a life, it wouldnt be so bad but half of the people dissing p8 and pgi actually post on here

Anyone remember underwater paintball? The mods are saving you from that stuff.... reading some of my posts can actually reduce IQ.
Anyway, I've had legitimate (to me) posts deleted...... but at the end of the day, when I get in from work I'm not going to get bent out of shape about my opinions not getting aired.........I'm sorry, but when a thread being deleted is high on my list of worries I think I'll be leading a pretty sweet life. Gotta go now, I'm getting blood on the keyboard (rough day at work).
