Ok, after visiting a variety of other sites I'm picking up a fair amount of "anti PGI" type stuff........... a lot of it criticising "draconian" modding............. my question is.......... if I start having a go at some other sites and name names.......... how long before these "evil" P8 mods delete my thread?
I'm a bit annoyed.......... one of my threads was deleted recently.......... it was in fact UTTER CRAP, it was deleted... I have no problem with it (it deserved deletion)......... but I've found my thread on another site being quoted as more evidence as to why P8 sucks.
So, basically, how bored do you have to be to spend your time flaming a web site? and how many people are on here to stir up trouble? immediately reporting back to base when you find something to have a dig at? I've even found some co-ordinated groups planning "flames" frankly it's pathetic. There's room for everyone, if you want to talk crap go elsewhere, if it's paintball stay here,if you want more freedom....look around, if it's online gaming sign up to gamespy. Why visit a site you don't like?
I visit lots of sites, I read most of the paintball press. There's room for everyone. But picking apart posts from another site in a thread, then returning to the original............. come on.

The question should be....

How bored do you have to be to post about the boring posts on other boring forums if indeed the boring forums are indeed posted on by bored people :p

P.S. Sent you an e-mail Mr Jose sir :)

Yes, compared to some of the other paintball sites the modding here is a tad more heavyhanded, but it's nothing compared to some of the other (non paintball) forums I visit.
We try to keep topics at least paintball related in some way, although we do let the odd weird thread slide if it has a certain entertainment value. But we try to keep certain standards.

Given the fact that Podbitch.com has declared this forum as having "the smartest posters in paintball" (which says a lot about the other forums :D), I guess we ain't doing such a bad job.
And if some people have a problem with that, I guess it says more about them, than about these boards.

Peace.

I agree with Buddha 3's sentiments, this is far from the most modded forum I visit...

To be honest I'm amazed that more threads aren't closed or deleted on here because there seems to be a growing trend of stupid/irrelevant/double posts of late which quite frankly do my tits in...

Thankfully this is still a minority and I hope it stays that way. However I would encourage a more forceful closing of threads as and when the mods saw fit.

Say what you like but the efficient Totalitarian Moderators of P8 certainly help prevent the level of discourse dropping to the unacceptably poor standard found elsewhere... and what's more they make the trains run on time :p :D

The only thing as far as the modding that currently I can see that needs to be done is the consistancy being kept...that is NON paintball threads being deleted...I know I have been one of the people in the past asking for an off topic section but as that isn't going to happen the current forums need to be kept to the paintball subject...there are several threads active that have stuff all to with paintball that have been left alone (and they weren't started by mods so no favourtism can be levelled at them) Plus the Classifieds has now seen an improvement if the new stickied rules are adhered to (bit difficult to see them as the couple of stickied marker for sale threads are still there and one keeps getting a bump post (weird as it already stickied  ) but the people who have for sale threads and state no vat or including vat also that they can take credit cards...mortals don't have credit card facilitys only shops ;) (paypal don't count and that hasn't been mentioned in those posts).
