Before we continue slagging robot wars or writing off paintball as tv marketable, we need ideas!

We need to justify it to ourselves before we justify putting just any old thing about paintball on tv

If they were to make a paintball tv show what would be in it?
Tourneys? Rec? Punters? Gizmos and guns? what?

what would u put in say a half hour show?

(we could just copy splatter factor i suppose)

if we all put our minds together we might be able to work something out...............(then sell the rights).............to channel 5!

S**t Happens!!
I would aggree with MrDan we have to think what we would have on the show!

Things it could have:
tourney
loads of different camera angles ona tourney; sidelines, helmet shots(if there are any willing players who would want to carry one of these small cameras in the came can do so if they like(Im in the process of making one of these)), over head shots etc. We would maybe need some sort of comentry for this so people know whos taken out and things like that, also it will be needed as for people who have never seen/heard about paintball b4 then they may find it boring with just hearing the guns firing all the time! also it doesnt need to be just a whole game it can be a few different games through out the show.

Rec Ball
If there are any big games which gets coverage the show could show footage of the size of it, the area, the amount of destruction(wall of paint) etc.... it can explain that it is a lot of fun etc..

Introducing
The show can introduce/test new guns/equipment. what Im trying to say is a small section could be divoted to basic things like gun maintenance or new/old products that they like. I know it could be a bit tacky but it may be usefull

Upcomming
They could show upcoming events which can be around the world! anywhere really.

interviews
they could do quick interveiws with new players/pro players/anyone/anything hell even a poodle i dunno.

as you can see you can get many different things put in to a 30 minute slot but there is a lot to choose from. I have just mentioned a few things and havent gone in to much detail dew to the fact you get the basics of what Im talking about.

Hell if I win the lottery/premium bonds I would fund for this sort of program but as we are talking about we are trying to apeal to everyone to get paintball as a great sport/entertainment we may have loads of funding but we have to find the best format/show to broadcast it to get the best respons from it!

most of the new DVD's seem to have the format right- so long as we don't include EXTREME AMERICAN SPORTS COMMENTATOR MAN all should be good, have to trim it down and concentrate more on eye candy type stuff. that way players and non players can appreciate the bling. Would love to see this on tv, cant be far off a regular snippit in one of the extreme sports programmes, Downhill mountain biking only really took off in the last 6-7 years and thats now big time covered.

On a side note Fly on the wall Nexus 04 would be proper bo methinks:D

Hmmm seems that were all forgetting one thing. Dont we remeber that little show called x-fire. Corr if you get anything on terestrial it'll only be **** liek that again and in that case whats the point.

Would be kool if it could be sorted out to the same format as some of the american DVD's but i seriously doubt it will happen.

Anything with Jose in it is going to have to be after the watershed. (See Staar Waars an Apology) ;)

Don't know what the viewing figures were for Mission Paintball? Maybe its just us ballers who eat sleep and drink paintball that are interested? (I am not advocating eating or drinking paintballs, sleeping with them is ok as long as they consent.)

I'm probably in a teeny world of my own here......but am I the only person who thinks paintball is incredibly dull to watch?

I love playing, but I can't see the attraction of watching games....even the pro games at Campaign were dull.

I quite like the super-frenetic compilation vids like that Der-Der 360 DVD, but aside from getting the opportunity to bounce up and down on the sofa, pointing to the TV while squealing "that's what I do, that's what I do!", the thought of watching entire televised matches is a complete turn off.

<goes back to trying to bolt an Angel onto a Dyson for next season's Robot wars> :)

The only way for a Paintball program to work imho is for it to be a highlights kind of a show. Sitting there watching a 10 min game is ok, but it get very samey very quickly... my 2p worth anyways.
