Even if the Sweden event is indoors, what is sweden like in february? DArk and snowy? I cant see many peopl ebeing happy with driving around sto kholm in the cold snow! Also, one of the things people didnt like with Sweden last year and the year before was the small fields and lack of back bunkers, i heard that one paint company averaged between 15 and 19 pallets of paint per millennium event last year, in sweden they only got through 6 pallets of paint. Said company will not be making the treck to sweden this year. Why not have the event where it was originally, the weather was great and increase the size of the fields.

Sam,

The size of fields has now been standardized to 30 x 55 meters. I personally think the layout of the fields were great even if they don't lend themselves to the use of a lot of paint.

But I agree with your other points. I fear that there will be a low turnout for a February indoor tournament in Stockholm. It could end up a glorified Nordic Series tournament; more like a large local tourney.

I'm also afraid that Madrid in July/August would have low attendence and might even have to be cancelled.

Listen to us on this one, Millennium! Talk to Brockdorff about Copenhagen for the hottest time of the summer and look at Madrid for February!

Tell AC/DC and Metallica to go play their concerts in Madrid some other time than spring and we'll have a venue there.

We try to find the best spread and venues possible, but unfortunately we're not the only inhabitants of this planet and most dates/venues are taken.

To be able to have a reasonable amount of events and a good spread of the season, taking into consideration the other leagues that are held in this world, we have to have some on more challenged times than others.

I'll make sure the Board hears your comments!!

It does appear though that the finding of venues, choosing of dates etc. is always left to the last minute.

As a result there will always be this situation of..."oh that will have to do".

Everyone knows what the sporting seasons are world wide. They start at the same time every year!!!

Anyway. I thought that the Millennium were moving away from stadium like venues and moving towards large open spaces.

If that is the case then surely this would give you more leeway regarding dates AND venues.

yeah, but after the mess last year Pedro might be having a bit of trouble finding anyone who will allow him to use their nice grassy surfaces.
