I4's have little protection!

Basically, got shot and it went up my mask and hit my lip

i was VERY lucky not to break my nose or loose teeth, and yes this was point black, it was not intentional.

Just thought id let everybody know what can happen, its not a hate campaign against dye, im not going to replace my I4's.

P.S. Yes it is pretty funny, I'v had the mic taken out of me all day as this happend in the first game of the day =/

You will get this with pretty much any mask. A bit of shell, flies in and hits your lip, or the facemask flexes and hits your lip.

Unless you are suggesting that the ball went through your mask, in which case, I suggest you post a pic of those rather than pic's of your comical looking lip...

And it's not "point black", it's "Point Blank". Further more, contrary to popular belief, the term "Point Blank", does not mean that the barrel was or was almost touching the target. It actually means, fired from a range that required no adjustment to elevation to hit the target, so could be a small or large distance, depending on the weapon.

Its not a case of the I4s having little protection (as they will have had rigarous testing ect) its a freak case where a paintball went up your mask, this is a freak incident as its not normal for someone to be able to shoot you from a position where tat would happen.

And if you were at all worried you would replace them.

Personally been shot a couple of times in them and never once had a problem

In the defense of the OP, He posted this on another forum and in no way was he worried, it was simply a ''warning'' sort of post. Not like anyone was flaming, but I just wanted to put that point across. Like i said on the other forum, It's just unlucky.

Yeh i have had my lip pretty messed up before, blood pouring out for about 5 mins. Thats what happens when your whole team is taken out in the first 30 seconds and leaves you to get mowed
It can happen in any mask

Had a pretty large fragment get through and hit me in the lip. Not only that but I was shouting to a team mate and paint went right in my throat. Im not one for munching on those things - nasty and bitter.
