automags are very customizeable and are among the most accurate markers.. a lot of people choose them because they're extremely durable, have a simple design, and almost never have problems..

if there is a problem, the design/name labels make it extremely easy to find out where the problem is and how to fix it

Greetings.
The Airgun Designs 68 Automag, was, back in the day, THE paintball gun of choice for tournement players.
Its reliability, accuracy, simplicity of design and maintanance and sheer excellance was the reason why. Since then, it has changed somewhat. With the introduction of the faster cycling Retro valve, which is capable of 26 balls per second and is the fastest valve in any paintball gun, anywhere (fact). The Mag became more popular. This valve was put into the RT and RT Pro range of markers, along with the latest Mag, the E-Mag. Te only problem with this valve was that its sheer speed was too much for the fragile paintball, and could mean your marker was more of a blender than paintball gun. However, the latest modification is the Level 10 Superbolt. this basically makes chopping a ball nearly impossible. The bolt will stop on a ball if its only partially chambered and will then fire it once its dropped in. Things such as the Double trigger frame (Intelliframe) reduces the trigger pull and increases ROF. Coupled with the fact that AGD are possibly the best company for customer service in paintball, or anywhere else for that matter. An Automag is a very good buy. You are buying into a large family of other Mag users, most of which are loyal to the brand and for good reason.
Naturally, I have a an RT mag, and I am selling my other powerfeed mag. Thats not to say that I dont think Angels Impulses Cockers etc are any good, as they undoubtably are, but started out with a mag and I know my way around them. It woks for me.
Hope this helps. If you want to know more, mail me and we can chat.
Cheers

dont buy one..............unless your not sure wether paintball is for you yet.

Save up and buy a second hand electro - cause chopping on a standard mag does your head in.

Lvl 7 mag, no superbolt, not even a foamie - 5,000 balls not one single chop using a variety of paint up to and including diablo gash (factory rejects).

Guess it's how you use one really. I love mine in a deeply inappropriate way
:D

Reliability is wonderful - even the E-mag has a manual over-ride in case something happens to the battery, so you can keep on playing.
