Robbo, THE game is a game that is played as follows:I have no idea what the fcuk is going on here and am gonna put it down to the fact I do not have LSD coursing thru my veins.
I presume I am now a loser???
Its all a little silly but suffice to say, the game was invented or brought to the public domain by a couple of media guys (BBC I think) who got stuck at a train station overnight. They came up with the idea of having a game whereby they had to not think about their predicament for as long as possible.I have no idea what the fcuk is going on here and am gonna put it down to the fact I do not have LSD coursing thru my veins.

I think this seems to be an extension of an old philosophical problem whereby you are told 'not to think of an object' but in being asked not to think of it, the subject thinks of it thus creating the paradox; And as you may know, philosophers just love paradoxes until they try to solve themIts all a little silly but suffice to say, the game was invented or brought to the public domain by a couple of media guys (BBC I think) who got stuck at a train station overnight. They found that as soon as you tried not to think about it, you thought about it and lost. Hence, the Game. When you think about the game, you lose and the only rules are you must tell someone. By doing so, they also lose, because they have thought about it......continue ad infinitum
PS You have now lost
Socrates was a ******* like that........never trust a greek (Or Geek even). Another socratic paradox!I think this seems to be an extension of an old philosophical problem whereby you are told 'not to think of an object' but in being asked not to think of it, the subject thinks of it thus creating the paradox; And as you may know, philosophers just love paradoxes until they try to solve them
