Hmmmm... Don't know whether this should be part of another thread, but I've never seen a bottle check at a Series 2001/2002 event. If I've missed them then no problem, but I've never been asked to show my bottle.

I haven't been to other tournaments - what's the usual bottle check procedure? Is it done at the same time as the chrony check?

The local dive shop where we get our air-fills can get the bottles tested as well, and I'd imagine it would be the same for most dive shops - they'd be able to do it, or would know the nearest place.

I think it all depends the organiser could ask you at any time to check your bottle. At the Birmingham Indoor all bottles were checked before they were allowed to be filled and then a cable tie was secured around the neck of your bottle so that the air station guys knew that it had been checked.

I think personally its rather stupid of the individual if they knowingly fill their out of date bottle anyway, its not just yourself that you may cause harm to but others as well.

You should check the bottle when it comes back for some numbers stamped on it, this is to say it has been checked and you can work out the next time you need to do it. Your bottle (May) come back with a Certificate to say where and when it was done and that it passed.

If they cut your bottle sue them, it is not theres to do that to,
Bottles can be used for other things but not for re useing on the gun !
