No, they didn't, there was some info about it on either paintball.com, FON or pbstar.com - can't remember which, said they ordered a few sets of someone...

No... this stuff held up to the wind. It was a decent set up. :D

The HB event was amazing. I wish I could have stayed there and it just kept going forever.

I think all the vendors were over the moon with the amount of stuff sold. It was unreal.

It was also great to catch up with the Brits and Euro's. Thanks for those that took the time to talk to me about home and events. I do miss it. :( sometimes ;) .

Was great to see Joy Division and Nexus doing so well, and ripping people up.

Well, except for the 30 minute delay on the JT field when the bottom of one end blew out on Saturday :D If we couldn't fix it we were going to start charging people to go parasailing on the net ;)

Lucky it was during lunch so no one got hurt. If it had been during a game... :(

INCREDIBLE tournament. No PSP event to date has been half as good and I seriously doubt they're going to catch up. Awesome venue, fun fields and the turf with colored markings/lines really made it feel like we were playing an established sport out there. Not to mention the women...hoo boy. NPPL is the future of paintball.

I was actually doing this in Vegas last year. Was helping the refs out on the angel field when all of a sudden the corner post snapped, blowing the net up. I saw this and ran over to get the net down infront of the spectators. I actually went airborne which was cool!

Great event, but I still see things that could get better.

The spectator seating on Sunday was packed to bursting, which isn't a problem most of the weekend. I liked the set-up in Miami where teams entered from an end, allowing two sides to have bleachers.

College teams... I wish Colorado State would get a team together. Some of the 303 and Sharp Shooters and Dirt guys could make a big dent in that circuit.

The vendor area was much better than I remember last year's, with more companies and good circulation.

I like the reserved tents in the players area, it saves you from having three teams sharing one tent while another team removes walls and claims 2 tents for themselves.

I love oranges. I love bananas. Apples are even pretty great. I spent so little on restaurants it was wonderful. I also got so much potassium from the freee bananas that I actually sprouted roots and started to photosynthesize nutrients.

I wish the air fills were between the player tents and the fields, rather than on opposite sides.

I saw more refereeing errors (though not on JT, shamu) than I remember from last year. I saw players get away with more wiping, though I also saw a few 3-1 penalties. Chrono rerring as discussed above, was imnconsistent and would have been very easy to circumvent.

In Chicago last year there were rubbermaid crates for guns outside the deadbox. What happened to those?

Thanks to Riktor 7 for use of the jerseys- we had some problems with the printers, so we had to use someone else's. I think that might have been Shamu's team.

Thanks to Robbo for the talk at the NPPL field. It helped focus my thinking and may keep me trying to improve our team instead of jumping ship for another team.

gyro, can't believe I missed you all weekend dude, never mind hit me up a PM on how you did.

otherwise, on the topic of the event, I pretty much agree with Gyro on the good/bad bit, although I didn't play last year.

On thing about the stand, seemed a bit odd that the only 2 entrances to the bleachers were the wrong side of a low wall, i saw a few people who were walking along that roadwaywondering if they could hop over to have a look, might have been nice to put in some mini steps or something to help people over and show it wasn't out of bounds.

Ian, I thought I saw you across the field when we were walking the NPPL field, but then I saw these two beautiful women making out on that wall you are talking about and I sort of forgot all about saying hi...

... sorry about that! Never did cross paths again. Next time.

Hey Gyro,

Riktor 7 isn't my team. Nathan (21!), one of the refs on my field, is a member of the team. On the one hand, they were a bit pissed that someone was wearing their jerseys (and you didn't make semis  ) but they got free practice jerseys out of it, so it all works out!

Maybe we can organize something in Tampa, sort of a p8ntballer meet and greet. I'm sure I've met some of the posters here over the past year, I just don't know it :p :D

EDIT ADDED: If that's what you want, Whale, start a Lonely Hearts thread in A,C & Q--"Misunderstood NPPL ref seeks pballers in Tampa for a few laughs, no long term comittments necessary but open to new experiences."

Nobody expects--The Fun Police END EDIT.
