For those who played or watched it, how was the new format?

Better/worse than regular X-Ball?

5 points/15 minutes limits ok? Or should they be longer/shorter?

I thought it was really good, with lots of crowd participation, even during the prelims. The field really promoted a lot of aggressive play, with some really good run-throughs, and the fact that the snake side of the field was next to the spectators stands made it a lot of fun to watch, if a little tense ;)

Can't wait for the next one :)

I didnt like the idea of a best of 9, 15minute limit when it was announced. But after playing it, its perfect, i wouldnt change a thing (including the 3min turn round).

One other thing, teams were moaning at the begining of the year because they wanted to play this format instead of 7man. How many div1 teams could afford to shoot 50+ boxes of paint per event because thats what teams were doing...

The one problem I have just stumbled upon. No one was checked on field? Before each match the 7 players playing were put down on the sheet. But no one actully checked who went on the field? You could have quite easily played from a squad of 10/11...

Hi, a quick question about the M7 rules. It says:
If tied at the end of regulation time, sudden death point. (overtime of 5 minutes).
(If still tied cf rules)
So if both teams are on 2 points but one has 4 bodies on the field and the other only has 1 live player, the clock runs out. What happens? Do they continue playing into the overtime? Or does that point finish, and they start a fresh point, whish is used as the decider?

Or didn't any games go to over time?

EDIT: Sorry about the multiple posts guys. Retarded computers here in public cluster i'm using. Also there doesn't appear to be a delete button anymore.
