Its a marshalls job to make sure you follow the rules. If he got shot and played on he broke the rules and got punished for it. Simple as.

check this thread out.....i think hes got a point, probably one thats been raised on this forum already but still seems valid to me.
I've never been 1-4-1'd, either directly or by proxy
There aren't many marshalls that would wait; just to 1-4-1 you. There are some! I won't deny it- but not many.

It's just poor marshalling- how did the guy KNOW the marshall knew??
-He didn't. Maybe it was just a bad decision- and I think those are far more common than malicious ones.
It's a self check area...he should have pulled himself out if he didn't want to be 1-4-1'd.

I can semi-see your point - but is the same true if he had been shot on his pack? The front of the hopper is just as much a blind spot when your adrenalin is pumping.

The marshall (IMHO) should really have pulled him out - not wait to see if the player played on. But, it seems that marshall got exactly what he was waiting for - a 'name' for himself ;)

i habe a littlw questin for you all

heres the scenario...

your 'balling away, and you go to mug 2 people

you go to mug the 1st, you shoot him, and he shoots you, although you have
felt the shots hit you,(they may not have burst so just incase the 1st persons balls didnt break you proceed to mug the second person.

is this classed for 1 4 1?

it not like you can mug one person and sit there like a spanner to see if you have anny breaks on you, and then go for the second?

is there ann allowance on somehting liek that?

i dont think so... its felt that if you feel them hit, you should call it, look later... even if it isn't, if you play by that rule, you cant get penalised. you may let the team down by having one man down due to calling a bounce, but they may prefer that to getting 1 for 1'd

It really depends on the situation, the marshalls there, if they see it, etc etc etc about a hundred different variable factors, but the last time something like this happened (At an Xball lite tourney @ Dartford a couple of weeks back) Player X runs down the tape, trades paint with Player A, both are hit, Player X then runs on down and bunkers Player B too. In this case, Players X and A are called out on an exchange of paint, and B was wiped down and put back in. No 141s were issued.

Unless you get spray onto your goggles or you make a noticeable flinch then a shot on the front of the hopper is an non-obvious hit.

If the shot in question met those requisites then the marshal in question was a sadistic *******.
