I recon its going to happen soon, just read through your copies of PGI and there is always someone bitching about players being poached.

Yeah, the final list was out for team entry this week. Anyone who comes in now will only be available for "transfer" after the first event. For anyone who's interested, Manager of the series wins a pretty decent prize and manager of the month gets a very nice magnum of champagne (yes the real stuff not £1.99 fizzy from Tesco).

To answer the original point of transfer fees, although the PA has imposed consditions on player movement between teams we didn't feel it was our position to impose transfer fees.

Several managers however were already discussing the possibility at the PA Managers conference. One example that came up was if a lower division team has a new kid who turns out to be a bit of a superstar that a higher division team would like to get their hands on then they could perhaps make an offer of 10 cases of paint etc so the rest of the team can go train.

I certainly think it's a way forward as it suddenly adds real value to players.

again rather interestingly I was asked last weekend if players registered in the PA Lague can not guest for other teams can they be "loaned" as in football.

The answer is yes, but they must still follow the transfer guidelines of registering for the team they are to play for at least 30 days before an event and naturally while on loan they can't skip back across from field 4 to field 2 to play for their "home" team in the next game.

I would sincerely hope that if this becomes the case teams will negotiate "loan fees" as well as transfer fees . A few cases of paint can go a long way to helping a less well sponsored team and could give a teams star Noobie the opportunity to play some higher level 'ball without deserting his home team or causing bad feeling. In this way higher level teams could look at temporarily plugging holes in their line up for a tourney or two or even a whole season with the player returning to their home team when the loan agreement is up and hopefully take something back with them. Just a thought:)
