well to sweet spot yer imp you just need to set your input pressure to about 160psi and keep the dwell in the about middle...

then just up the input pressure until it shoots in the 280 region and then play with the dwell...

thats what i did!

Bit of a question really, as you will get 50 different answers... I do it by feel alone pretty much, then take it the chrono and it's always in the 275-295 range.

Obviously you only have two things to adjust if you don't have an LPR: the input pressure and the dwell. Some people tell you to slowly increase the dwell over the chrono until the velocity stops increasing dramatically, and then turn it down a couple of clicks. Other people say get the dwell at the lowest setting that fires consistently, then crank up the pressure to the right velocity. The right answer is probably "somewhere between these two extremes."

Mine shoots consistently at about 6 clicks, and maxes out at 25ish, but I set the dwell to 12, set the LPR so it cycles without shootdown then up a touch, then set the input pressure to 'feel' about right. Fine adjustments to get it up to 290-300 are on the LPR. My internals are completely different to yours, so yours will be different (easier though, you don't have 3 things to twiddle!)

Two things to remember: generally lower dwell and higher pressure will give you better efficiency; however, FSDO and inconsistency are more likely to happen with very low dwells. At the end of the day, it feels different depending on how you set it up, so get it feeling good for you :D

i have a strange impulse with Ndz valve, rat hole hammer, slik shot ram, Ndz ram housing, Ndz stubby bolt, and Ndz full flow. i run my dwell at 9 beeps (6.75ms) and my pressure at 135-140psi shooting at 285-300fps. i get around 1200-1300 shots off a 72ci/4500 tank
