Great now people may understand what I've been saying all this time, God I hope it goes ok and a big scene does not come from it .

I will fight to keep this a sport if it means proving our sport is safe by whatever means.

Too many idiots out there not understanding about our sport and treat markers like weapons.

WE play safe, and will keep an ear open 2morro as got day off.

The only intelligent thing we as paintball players can do is start hitting chickens with baseball bats (or cricket wickets... or whatever you guys have as something similar) and slapping people with badmitton rackets from our cars. That'll give everyone a little perspective, and they'll be forced to say, "oh, it isn't paintball guns that are evil, it is those f**kers misusing all the sporting goods."

Without trying to be too picky about it, how do you know it's someone who doesn't understand our sport? Maybe this perp is someone who plays for a team, maybe got drunk, or is just generally irresponsible.

Why do people always assume that when a story like this comes up, the person(s) involved have never had anything to do with the paintball scene?!

We had the same type of thing happen up here, about 20 minutes from my house, three D***S in a car driving through a small village shooting at people with a paintball marker, police caught them mind you. Thing is, when you can walk into the gadget shop and pick them up for £100 and off you go...GET CONTROLS IN PLACE!!!!!!

Also had some kid phone me the other week...conversation...would I fill his Co2 tank so him and his mate could go down the local park and play paintball, my answer...NO!!!!!!!!

Actually tried to speak to the guy, explaining paintball etc, then told him about the above drive by incident, his reply...in true CHAV fashion

"Quality man where did they get the Co2"

My answer in true customer service manner....fk off mate!!!!!!

Cos if it was a real baller, they would've done it with an Airsoft rifle.

Well there is a thought if it is a person who plays that would be even worse, dont even go down that path, I think I heard this issue last year if its the same case that was all.

And if comes out that its a player imagine some stuck up guy from the press going to an event ramping and seeing what he calls fully auto then press hype begins.

Scary.

Hmmm, you could be onto something...perhaps a rather famous baller could get a little carried away and start shooting up his neighbour's house while steaming drunk one night?

Perish the thought, obviously, and one imagines he wouldn't want anyone to find out about that, least of all members of the press, cos it wouldn't look good for this well respected individual... :p
