Dude- I don't know what is up with warp feeds. You can't really shoot 20 balls a second, so you DON'T need it. Get a 12v with an x board and evil paddle, mine feeds around 13 bps, which is pretty much as fast as ANYONE can shoot, much faster than I can

I didn't buy a friggin warp cause it could feed 20bps. I bought it cause I liked the profile it gave me when I snap shot. And it can feed 20 bps for about 8 paintballs so you can rip off a good string of paint without having to worry about your feed. Anyone who has to shoot more that 8 paintballs at 20 bps should work on their accuracy.

Evil paddles?

Evil Paddles are the adapted (bent) paddles from the eggolution I got mine direct from Viewloader at the World Cup but try Planet as they are bringing in the polycarbonate shells aswell so they should have the paddles also as I said above it does make a huge difference to the feed rate...well actually you don't notice anything happening ...that is the marker just doesn't run out of balls like the old Revolution does from time to time but the X-Board feeds quicker so the combination of the two makes for an awesome feed rate.

One of the posts above missed the point of the original question,
a Warp Feed ? come on !! not needed not to begin with as the question was for a person looking to buy their FIRST hopper.

You see it all the time. Someone asks what their first marker should be, then someone tells them they should get an Angel.

being a newby myself not so long ago, i went for a 12v in transparent blue it works amazingly and also looks the dogs willy, the transparent ones are more expensive but they look quality especially with a matching elbow if you have a non centre feed beast. As mentioned they take 2 x 9v`s, but they will last a long time if you remember to switch it off between games, plus it has a cool indicator that tells yoiu when the battery(s) are low.

Well if I had the choice I would have gone with an angel. But they didn't exist and I didn't have eniugh money.

I think most people that have been playing a few years would say that they would have picked an angel for a first gun if they could have, and the only people that wouldn't have already quit paintball somewhere down the line.
