I'll definitely be there! The Zombie games are a great laugh and the only time I really get an opportunity to shoot at the missus!!!

@Vibez - Yes mate, semi only.

The reason for this is that every walk-on we have new players turn up. The last thing we want is for them to be put off should they accidentally get lit up by someone on ramping / full auto. Most markers used today are fully capable of firing up to 12 balls per second in a controlled manner (our walk-on day limit, btw) which is more than enough.

We also have a fair percantage of guys with starter guns turning up. The semi only rule, allows these guys to also enjoy themselves and not feel totally out classed.

There's also the other reason of course... These walk-ons are supposed to be fun and also help develop personal playing skills. "Spray and pray" does not encourage either ;)

Sorry for the long winded explanation, but it's nice to able write this occasionally as it helps alot of people decide to actually start attending these days, knowing their fun and enjoyment is what really matters.

Ben and Neil also shoot me on a regular basis .. I only want 1 or 2 shots, not a chain thank you very much - Bxxtxxds!

Quick update on the pump day front this coming Sunday !

In addition to the silly entry price (£25 includes full day, tea / coffee / air / 1000 paintballs / my company etc etc...) we are also about to make this a bit more appealing.

If you don't have your own pump gun OR have a mate or three who would quite like a laugh, we will be bringing down a box of cleaned and tested pump guns with us.

Rental for a Pump marker, air bottle and hopper will be completely FREE. So no excuse to not bring a friend !

If we can get close to our target of 15 pump players, we'll organise your own event aswell - extra marshalls - no extra cost !

So let's try and big up the pump scene again and next year we see where we can take it.

Just a quickie...

I will be ordering some items for people this Wednesday first thing in the morning. If you want anything available for pick up on the walk-on, please let me know by calling or emailing by Tuesday evening at the very latest.

Otherwise, looks like we are avoiding most of the 'interesting' weather here in the South-east so should be a fun old day, look forward to seeing you there !

How is the weather holding up over at your end? Is the walk on still a go?

You count me as a no show

Currently looking at 10" snow on a 1:4 hill and my car hasn't moved for 3 days :(

OK ... we had a tiny bit of snow here ;)

Will have some nice pics by the end of today ... haha !

Anyways .. we ARE going ahead with Sundays game. All the main roads are now open. No more heavy snow forecast and really the majority should have disapeared by the end of Saturday anyway.

If you can get down safely, it would be appreciated and very nice to see you !

Thanks for a great year of walk-ons!!!

Just wanted to say a quick THANK YOU to Neil and all the guys at Holmbush Paintball for a fantastic year of paintball! We've had great fun at all the walk-ons (and the odd rental day too). The marshals are all good fun, the players are welcoming and friendly, and the games are always enjoyable! :D

Holmbush is a very friendly and well equipped site, catering for all levels and gender of players (both rental and walk-on), making paintball more accessible and enjoyable for all. Keep it up guys! :thumb:

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year! :wasted:
