Yes, that may be true, but the tread title is "High end markers in the UK?".....
I'd put my Ion up against any marker, and I've owned a big variety of them. Just because it doesnt cost a high amount, doesnt mean it isnt high performance wise.
But then how do you judge high end and low end???

id say egos and ions defintely taking control

was at STB a fortnight ago
pretty much all the big guys used egos, well id say about 60% of them anyway
everywhere i looked there were egos it seemed

then lower divisions a lot of ions
still a few cockers going around

id say i saw the least of matrixes and timmies
shockers there were quite a few of too and some damn tasty aftermarket ones i must say

thats just my experience

in terms of recball ion is killing everything it seems
whether you class it as high end or not i dunno
a lot of people are buying them which can only be good for the move to supair etc, where before people starting out would be outgunned severely...

just my thoughts

after having a go on one i know what i want to buy - an ego

yep i think more and more are using the Ego.......

the ion is great but i always felt like it could fall to bits at any time ,so i went for the Ego
but at 800 quid for the Ego is it classed as the High end marker?

dont flame me please!

Why dont we set up a poll? Should be able to give a better indication.... Mods?

Personally I'd say the top dogs over here are Eblades, Angels, Egos and a few timmys. The rest of the crowd is a smattering of old Impulses, Shockers, DMs, Ions and such like.

I didn't know you'de ever picked up an Ion Dale. Did you wash afterwards?

Over in the UK the range of markers used in competition is limited by what we can get and what support is available for said marker.

Personally I think fashion dictates what your average player shoots. Not long ago timmys were , "where its at". Now numbers are plummeting along with their price. (NDs at Planet for £699)

If you saw Nexus shooting Freestyles and you could get them here with plenty of spares etc the sales would also go up.

Mmmm, Nexus Ion? :p

In a tree
Can only speak from where I have played this season (PA). In our Div (2) the list is like this...

Wolf City Union (all sorts, Ions, Timmy's Angels)
Clan (Ego)
Lincoln Storm (Ego)
Nitro (all sorts, Ego, Ecockers, Angels)
Wrexham Pimps (Ego)
Welwyn Zone (all sorts, timmys and Angels mostly I think)
Stoke Quest (Angels)
Tsunami (all sorts; Ego, Cockers, Freestyles)
LPSA Croydon (mainly Angel I think, few timmy's)
UKM Romford (different sorts but mainly Shockers I think)
Don't Panic Stafford (mainly Angels but Ego's too)

I think Ego's have taken a MASSIVE market share this year. I would put it way above 20%

But admittedly I haven't seen what everyone is shooting at the other domestics.
