DORSET... POOLE
hey dude... welcome to the world of painting..
i am also new to this.. and done it only a couple of times now.. but looking to get my first marker next week... so far.. the only advice i can really give you is this..
what you want, how you play the game..and what your needs are.. and the amount you have to spend..these are all factors in what you can get, want to use.. need to spend.. and what gear you will want.

it is very hard to know..unitll you start off..
so get a mask... gloves... use a gun from the paintball site... borrow a friends, if you can.. and find out what you want to play.. and what set up you would like,... i hope this helps.. but please remember... i am also new to this.. but this is kinda what i have been told by everyone.. so far.

my idea for me is i am getting my A5 next week.. and go from there, and in a few months..i will know what i really want... and get the gun i need, want, and desire..all in one.. but untill i start..i wont really know.

good luck dude... ;)

ps .. they are a great bunch on here.. very helpful..and decent chaps.. who have lots to say..and advise newbies like you and I on...so read..listen..decide..and ask questions.. on here... and you should do well.
ooh one thing.... only you can decide the marker that you want, but do not jump for the first one you like... find one..read about it, get advice... before you buy.. ok.

A5's have a lot of potential for upgrades, and are great woodsball gats if you're into the milsim look (supair markers will work just as well in the woods) or if you have to use CO2 at your local site. I tend to recommend electros to new guys because it leaves their options open if they want to play different types of 'ball, and they perform very well for the prices you can get them.

Back to the OP, it's already been said, but get a good mask. I'm going to assume you have a small 13 yr old head here (I may be wrong) but you could probably wear e-vents very comfortably and still get a lot of protection from them. I3's are great masks (lens change is a bit of a mission though), but as a skinny faced chap, I find big masks feel cumbersome and excessive and I prefer a mask that fits my face more closely.
