HG 2 Marshalls need a white caine

Just to point this isn't all a negative thread, tourney was very well organised, venue was second to none and fellow ballers played as sportman-like as you could get.

Although one issue which put a downer on the event was third field marshalling, on two occasions we had a marshall stood on tape doing everything but his job, at one point i do recall spectators getting involved to attract a judges attention, Anyone else have issue with SP field!!

Sorry Syd for such a comment for a on the whole fantasitic tourney!

can't say that i saw a problem and i did play 7 games on the field, i thought the marsheling was top notch all round.

Thank god!!! Thought it was just me having problems with them

All in all, HGII was a very good event. Respect to the organisers and all the teams we played. As for the standard of judging on field three, well w@nk seems like a good way of describing it. If you don't know what you're doing, or can't see properly, don't judge tournaments!

In Syd's defence, I believe that he was let down at the last moment by a group of 'Qualified' Judges - certainly we were asked to bring as many Refs as we could muster, hence why I am now known as Gruppenfuhrer Von Pinki after my Stalin-esque version of Field Ultimate

Marshalling good

Marshalling was good overall. I would say fewer dodgy calls than at most events.

Most teams played very fair, although a big up to the guy with the Ba**s to walk into the dead zone wipe a shot in front of everyone in front of the grandstand, then come back out shooting. Eventually doing the flag run! You know who you are

Only comment I would add is more marshalls were needed on the fields to catch stuff like the above. Especially in the finals, when things moved so fast, the marshalls seemed to be overwhelmed.
All in all still an event to mark on the calender for next year.

You liked my Von Pinki bit then Pinki.

WTF...

We never had issues with wiping just playing on (in opposing teams defence, shot's wasn't in self check area) but player wasn't pulled for it and a marshal was twiddling his thumbs about 9 feet away from the tagged player.

only one problem on the sp field which happen sunday against our friends Cool as ice . the marshall on the tape kept shouting at my mid player that he was neutral (did not even come within 5ft of him and use correct hand signals) thus getting really annoyed with the player thus telling him he would be eliminated if he did not turn around for him to check. This in return took a heated moment getting the player eliminated. Another one was also caught on camera with a marshall telling the player he was hit and even though the player continued to eliminate a zone player was not 1 4 1 and even said he did not say it or that the player did not continue to play on .. that was our only problem on the Sp field all week end and most of our games were on that field.

The only other problem i found was the new rule brought in on sunday where the flag carrier got re chrono graphed and not one team capt was informed of the change of rules. all players were chroned on to the field as well and even a team was told to place 2 shots over the chrono because his first shot hit 295 then went 302 , this got him 1 4 1 . if rules are to change let people know and stick to them .

Other than that you should all get your arses down to hg3 as its the best tourney along side the d 7's
