The new PMRs and Proto SLGs are out also, probably worth a look.
If you can afford it, the best newbie marker I can recommend is a Dangerous Power G3. You'll not need to upgrade anything on it, just yet, until you progress far enough to demand more settings, barrels etc. etc. and maintenance and electronics setting is pretty darn simple. It's also only about 400 euros or whatever that is in sterling, and they perform just as well as many 1000+ markers out there!
If you're looking for a high-end marker, I would really advise trying before plonking down the huge amount of cash for one. Take all advice with a pinch of salt, for example, if many many people tell you to get an Ego, it does not mean it will be good for you, it just means many people have them.
I shoot a G3 and soon to be an A1 Fly, and not many people have even seen them, and yet you will hear opinions on why they are bad markers, etc. etc.
Markers are very much a personal thing, if you can, do try some out. If not, here are my recommendations. If you require more info on one of them, you can PM me or ask me on this thread and I'll do my best

If you have so much money your trust fund manager drives a Ferrari:
