Think again

Maybe because it is not my point, Paul and I do not share some of these views. I just copied and pasted it here, so it could be seen by a wider audience and therefore promote debate

Quite right sorry.

So where was it originally posted? and by whom?

Mother, is that you?
It must be from Sparklie's Forum. I think it came in between Little Jon's 'What shall I put on my sandwhiches today?' thread, and Himself's 'Does doing Celtic calligraphy make you a better paintballer?' study?

Mr Collier, why do I get the feeling that you're brewing for a row at the moment. ;)

Not a row as such but I think its important to know the source of the innitial post to gauge any reasoning behind it.

I'm very quite interested about this crap paint that teams are happy to use simply because they get it cheaper and also what sites will give hundreds of pounds away.

So no not after a row but debates also good.

Anyone know how many teams are booked in for the PA cup at present? Is that the reason behind the post?

Hmmm well I found the post on Sparklies forum posted by 'tiny' but he states that it was lifted from somewhere else.

So come on, who wrote it originally? Stand up and be counted if the points you make you truley believe in!

Don't get me wrong here, I thing the PA Cup IS a good idea and may well increase site turnover etc... Believe me when I say I truley hope it does that as well as get Tournament Paintball into the public eye more. Providing it does that in a positive light I'm all for it.
However I still doubt and have heard nothing thus far to convince me, that any increased revenue will be passed to said local team.

I agree with what Paul seems to be saying here.

The PA cup is a very good idea and something that I am proud to be trying to do. BUT this whole crap Paint thing and some of the more argumentative points that are raised, really are not helping sell the case for the new tourney.

In the end it is a business and just because we are used to one or 2 paint manufacturers why should the market not grow for choice. I think if most people don;t like the paint they wont use it and just because its cheap (sponser or otherwise) won't help the company.

Companys realise good products sell. Cheap Products if they are good (look at low end markers they sell because they are cheap relaible and they may not be tourney great they are usable and a good learning/ stepping point into paintball)

I think I am losing my point and will leave it as a good new idea but no need to start arguments or putting down of other areas to try to raise a bit of profile
