No offense ment m8, just saying. and besides 5'8" really isn't that short, I'm speaking more of the little 5'4" or shorter guys.

I'm 6'3" and I can dunk a basket ball whilst wearing reef sandals (that's all I wear to school and I've never tryed to dunk a basket ball out side of school). Incase you don't know what reef sandals are, they're little thong sandals that do nothing. they're really comfortable tho.

I love my sandals.

I agree with you compleatly, a 6'0" person is not going to be inherantly better playing back than a 5'5" person (or what ever) but my point was that it could help. Just like that 5'5" person is not going to be inherently better up front than the 6'0" person. It's all what you do with it. but hight can present its self as an advantage to be exploited. Different people must learn to play different bunkers different ways inorder to not get shot out and to do their job.

But of 2 back players equally skilled techniclly (communication playing tight etc) one that is 7'2" is probably going to do better than on that is 6'2"

But there's not really a hard fast rule for who makes a good front guy. Atleast body type wise. Becasue how you play front is more in your mind and having no fear. But how you play back is more dependant on how well you do you job. I hope that made sense.

Gotta go with budda here,

Size only matters if u let it show!

If u can run and then fold up then u can play anywhere :)

i should know, i can get my leg behind my head and im 6 foot 2

Dont ask me how or why i know i can do this :p

Besides some bad experiences in laydown carrots my hight has come in handy, I just ran into problems when I hurt my back and couldent really bend any more. But hopfull thats over now.

And by the way not many people really expect to be bunkered over the top of a coke can!!! You should have seen the refs laugh at that guy while he walked to the dead box.

Does size matter? Can you be 6 foot 5 and be an effective front player or do you need to be a 40 pound munchkin.
I am not the smallest guy in the world but I am not 6'5" either but I have played a laying down witches hat. So I am guessing size isn't everything. But I am telling you I sure as hell won't be jumping into any snakes any time soon!:D

I on the other hand, at 6'5" love playing in snakes. It's not something I'd try to break to as a bigger target on the run is bad, but if I have a chance I'll play it!

Where you play is more often about skill and attitude rather than size but lets be honest the ideal person for paintball would be a small target and damn quick on the run. But that doesn't stop the rest of us playing in all positions and thoroughly loving it!

I am 6'8 and have never found that my height has impaired me in any way. At the back of the field it helps with vision and paint chucking, I just have to be more careful when moving up front. I have to be more aware of gaps to run into and which Bunkers I choose. And mugging someone over the top of a laydown coke can is such a great feeling.

Well as I said there are extremes, but in general it's talent rather than size
