Cesar is a dickhead pay no attention to him!

Right all I suppose I better respond to this bait, but somehow I don't think any amount of explanation will satisfy him.

The maths work out like this and Cesar knew this at the Campaign Cup, he just conveniently forgot it afterwards.

Entry Fee: £630
Paint Fee: 20 boxes x £30.50 = £610
Players Passes: 8 x £14 = £112

So the total cost for an eight man team was £1,352.00
Divided by eight players comes to £169.00 each

Cesar gave the team £200 before the event and was refunded £30 after the event, so yes he was short-changed if you like, but only by £1. (and yes I have looked the amount up in my online banking statement and it was £200 not £210 and no I will not give you my login details so you can check it, dick)

Now if you take into account the fact that he also owes me for at least one Duracell M3 Ultra PP3 9V battery, yes I bet you conveniently forgot about that didn't you ;) and the fact that he decided in the middle of the day to start stripping my Evo down for parts (even though we were using it the whole event) so I should really have charged him for the cost of sending in to Brian to have the regs re-sweetspotted, I think he actually got a good deal out of the event.

I know exactly why he is bitching, but he will not just come out and say it. On Saturday afternoon he noticed that we had not used all 20 boxes of paint up, I believe we had used 16 boxes and had 4 unopened boxes left, he commented that he should get some money back for the unused paint, to this I replied that the paint had been pre-paid for and that neither me nor the team had the funds available at the time or the inclination to buy the paint back from him and that we would just divide the remaining paint up between ourselves at the end of the day. Now when I told him this he walked off in a huff, then at the end of the day he walked off as soon as we had finished the last game and did not pick up any of the left over bagged up paint we had. So we divided the left over paint up amongst the rest of us and we never crossed his path the rest of the weekend.

So to be honest I think that giving him £30 was fair in these circumstances and I knew at the time that he was going to cause a fuss about it eventually, as that was why he walked away so quickly at the end of the last game and did not come and talk to us for the rest of the weekend.

So now I have explained the situation I hope you understand why I started this message with the subject I used.

Whilst I am on the topic of slating Cesar, I would like to add that he is not a team player (not at all), I am not saying that he is a bad player or anything, just that there is no "I" in team and his whole attitude to paintball is "I", "I", "I".

Finally I would like to point out that the rest of the team told me to tell Cesar to F**K OFF with his refund, but I overruled them and paid him back out off my own pocket (as the team still has not sent in all the money owing yet and the team account is empty).

Oh and just to prove the point that Cesar's maths calculations seem to change depending on the weather, here is a copy of a PM he send me about this issue, I would not normally post a private message in the forums, but I think this situation allows me some latitude in this matter:

Any idea when you will be sending out the refunds? I make it £61.25 to come back, I've worked it out as follows; entry fee £630/8= £78.75 paint we had 4 boxes left so we used 16, 16x£30= £480, £480/8=£60, so the total is £78.75 + £60 = £138.75, and I paid £200 so that makes £61.25 I should get back.
Sorry if everyone thinks this was a bit strong, but you can't expect me not to reply to bait like this now can you ;)

Regards Alex

OK OK just so no one can say that Jolt don't pay their dues, I have transfered the missing £1.00p over to your account Cesar.

As you have a non HSBC account it will probably take until Tuesday until it appears in your Barclays account.

Happy now!

Just to clarify this point, yes Cesar did technically pay for his own players pass, but that was because he queued up for it at a different time to the rest of us (team player that he was).

Please keep in mind though that as I had the cash in my pocket to pay for all the team's passes I paid him back in cash for the pass as soon as he met up with the rest of the team.

So again just one of those things he conveniently forgets about, after the event.

Oh and the reason that he came on here this morning to winge is that he rang me up on my mobile at 9:14 this morning and I was not able to answer his call, I did try and ring whoever it was back, but the number was answered by a switchboard operator and the caller id number left on my phone was the main line that is always given out by their phone system, so there was no way to know who had called me. If he had perhaps left me a voicemail message I could have returned his call within the hour, but obviously the wildfire voicemail system I use to screen stupid people from leaving me messages was far too difficult for him to operate.

Why is it that there's always ALWAYS this kind of petty bitching amongst paintball players? At first I thought maybe it was just me, as I live in a pretty redneck type place full of morons, but it seems like every tournament ever put on has had somebody who wants to start **** and was "screwed", if not by the team, then by the tournament coordinator, the refs, his gun, the grass, it's always something. Alright, that was my rant. I'm okay now.

As far as the topic at hand is concerned, sounds like this guy knew the details going in and basically doesn't want to help pay for some paint that wasn't shot. Evidently he's never played on a "community paint" style team and didn't understand the concept, but that's how it works, everybody splits the bill, whether you shot 500 balls that day or 5000. It all seems pretty much on the up and up to me.
