Firing modes - you can set the board to fire at varying rates ie semi auto (one trigger pull one shot), three shot burst (fires 3 shots every trigger pull), full auto (not used in the UK) and ramping (pull the trigger a set number of times at a constant speed and the board will ramp the firing rate to what ever you've capped it at ie 15 ball a second)
Eyes - are set in the breach and they detect if there is a ball there ready to fire or if a ball has broken.
Basically the battery powers the circuit board that detects a trigger pull, it will then open and close the valves to allow air through to fire the bolt forward then reset it ready for the next shot.
