correct me if i am wrong

you guys will probably laugh at me for this but i think i only realised last night, 'autococker' is a style of gun not a brand name like SPYDER, who are solely made by kingman. Auto cocker is a design, used by quite a few manufacturers, such as WGP, system x, eclipse, evolution. and refers to the way they work.
unlike my spyder which uses residual force to re-cock the bolt, blowback, An autococker 'pumps' the bolt forwards and back with gas via the 3 way.
if this is all correct i think i am a lot closer to choosing the right cocker for me.
as far as i know the cocker which made me fall in love with the style must have been an eclipse cocker, with the big E on the grip and the distinctive shape of the 3 way,
i know about E1 and E2 frames and was wondering how many other frames i am likely to see on an eclipse cocker, or is it a simple choice between a mech, an E1 and an E2?
my only other question for the moment is:
how many different bodies am i likely to see, i have heard mention of DC1 or DC2 and i saw 2 eclipse cockers one looked like it had the 2 bits at the back joined together and the other i am sure were seperate.
by bits at the back i mean the bit which caught skeet in the eye.
lol
thanks in advance

Autococker...is a trade mark of WGP (Worr Games Products), who initially made the Sniper 1 and 2 Pump guns...then they fitted the rams and gizmos at teh front, along with a sliding trigger, to automate teh cocking cycle, and teh Auto Cocker was born... Planet Eclipse, Belsales etc all use regular WGP bodies which they then machine to what they like, and can therefore, call tehm Cockers... System X etc, dont and there fore call them something else.
So, it is a Brand Name, not a "style"
The "style" that it fits is a Closed Bolt Semi Auto.

If its a full eclipse gun, it will usually have an E1 or E2 on it...you may also find Racegun grips on Cockers, or on Racegun Halfblocks...but thats a whole different story.

Cockers and their copies, are the most upgradeable guns in exsistence...there is no part you cannot buy several varieties of, as an upgrade or cosmetic change.

None of the bits on the back are seperate.

The only one that may, is a Halfblock conversion (or made that way), where teh block that holds the bolt, is on top of the gun, half way along, and usually has some sort of internal cocking, rather than teh back block cocking teh hammer inside as well...

if you PM me your MSN mate, i can answer pretty much any question you may have about cockers and other things.

When he says about the bit that hit you in the eye Skeet, I thought he might be referring to the backblock, ive seen some cockers set up so theres a big ole gap between the backblock, and then of course most of them are set up with the backblock almost touching. Or maybe hes referring to a beavertail. Im not 100%

But yeah, ask Skeet any Q's u have, that mans a legend!

How do you adjust that mate? is it the allen key that goes through the top of the body of the cocker? or something else?

you have to remove teh bolt and cocking rod...and turn teh back block on teh pump arm, till you get about 1mm away from teh body when its all closed up....should also balnce this with correct positioning of bolt in breech, when cocked, slightest sliver of bolt should be visible, about 2mm in feedneck...you may need to adjust teh pump arm at both ends to achieve this, but adjusting teh knob on the cocking rod should suffice...
