See if he can afford just a few quid extra & get a Freak with a couple of spare inserts. I changed to a Freak on my Angel & it made an incredible difference to accuracy & range:)

The Freak itself works out about £100 including VAT with your choice of 1 insert, then extra inserts can be bought as & when the money is available (£17 + VAT each). You get the choice of fronts all the way from 10 inch up to 18 inch.

But that will give only one bore size for his £100. Plus I thought the Titanium boomer is a bit more than he can afford, hence the link to the nearly-new Freak being advertised.
Most people are happy with just 3-4 inserts BTW including the one supplied with the barrel.

Wait! You can get the total freak set with all the inserts for about $184.99 which turns out to about £129.44 on the current exchange rate. - That's with ALL of this inserts dude!!

Check it here: http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/012-6799.html

Or check out the Planet web site in the UK, at http://www.paintballplanet.co.uk/www/shop/frames.html

It costs £162.00 there for the whole set! Worth it, if you get 2 or more inserts really!!

Check 'em out :D

Same cost at Smart Parts as at Planet (£162), but I was trying to suggest a way of keeping it down to the £100 budget limit listed in the original post.
Of course, the cheapest way is to wait until a Millennium 'cause Smarts always have deals on all their kit at those, but I can't see anyone whose desperate waiting until they can get to one of them.
Always worth getting the full set if you can afford it, 'cause you get the case with them as well & those inserts are sooo fragile.:(
