Hi to everyone, I'm a newbie to this site and I am a member of a team that was originally formed from a few workmates, we now have a potential of 9 players and if you would like to check out our homepage then go to: http://hometown.aol.co.uk/lordofstings/lords.html
As you may gather, our team is named "The Lords Of The Stings".
We have yet to experience tournament play and as yet have only played at rec. sites, Knutsford being our fave.
Anyway, if you have any advice for us it would be appreciated.
Regards, Hughsey!!

Hiya H,

Nice to see a lot of welcomes for you. Brand spanking new to this thing myself. Which site have you played in Knutsford? Am M'cr based and have played a field out there I really enjoyed, 'On the Edge' I think were the organisers.

While I'm here, how long did people play paintball for, before they decided to form teams etc. Wondering how easy it was for you to set up your work based team hughesy.

Been playing four or five times, and getting sick of rental eq and 'team-mates' who keep running off when something else 'more interesting' happens on the other side of the field.

Hmmn so many questions in one post, sorry folks,

hahaha
Want to see the extremme end of the team forming spectrum look at me.
I've been playing ball since 1990, all of it recball in the woods.
Last year I decided hell 'I'm fed up, I want my own marker'
So out I went and brought a spyder xtra. Of course they guys who I played recball with decided that i would have an unfair advantage so went out and brought spyders as well. Thus we decided to form a team. In the mean time I found a dark-angel that just screamed 'Buy me' so I had to get it.So six months down the line the spyder was gone and I had a top of the range tourney Marker. this is when i approached my So called team and asked them if they wanted to enter tournies. The answer was 'No thankyou we all prefer the woods' So it was time to go out and look for a better team. Thus I have become part of the sinners b-team and our first tourney is this sunday. And boy am i looking forward to it:D :D

Cool news, kinda the long road but I do see where you are coming from. Did you find no probs with the rental gear when you played rental rec ball? or did you borrow friends stuff (eeek)?

Good luck in your 1st T, where is it kicking off and what field type is it being played on?

Chimp

yup theres always problems with rental gear but this was a burden you lived with. I've played all sorts of rental markers from old sheridens [stock class] through pump and up to semi's such as the inferno and auto-mag.

The tourney is a sup-air event [this is new to me it all looks like a bouncey castle thats fallen apart] at temple and is this sunday (10th):p :p
