i work at taskforce.
We do walk on days, very unregularly though, as interest wasnt very high on previous occassions, however, in saying that, the No Limit team train nearly every month with 10-15 people showing up (makes for a great days fun to be honest) costing £20-30 for paint and the session, as well as providing skill training through out the session.

IF you do decide to go sup'air check out task force as the no limit team are great guys, a good laugh and if you're gunna learn anything in wales it will be from these guys.
If your interested in making the trek down to skirmish bristol the walk ons are the first sunday of every month with 30 people average, there always good fun and if you go along just ask one of the marshalls to point you in the direction of 'ron' and i'll be glad to help you out with anything. just drop us a pm over here and i'll make sure i'm down at skirmish for the day.
As to being alone, it's all the same when you're flinging paint at some guys, quite often i'll turn up to the walk on on my own and its not a problem everyones super friendly.

Such a familiar feeling, we started out with scenario's, but lately out of the sheer boredom and discomfort of lying in a foot of water for 30 mins waiting for someone to pass, we have started creating bunkers in open fields with the objective of running full chat towards the oppositions end and scoring, then someone said; do you know you're practically playing sup'air? so we are seriously considering it now!
One tip though; IMHO get yourself a paintball gun; Angel, Ego, Shocker, Ion, Pmr. you can still play rec-ball with these markers (Very well) whereas you can't sup'air with a scenario gun
