Hi Adam,

I have been eyeing up your marker, but rules are rules. I must 'prove my worth' to the forum but i can initiate any coversation. Seeing as you have the marker and not specifically talking about the sale, only your experience. I have a few questions. Will it work without a battery on semi or is a battery a must for any operation? Is there a safety so i dont accidently fire?

Thank
Phil

It won't work without the battery dude and best bet to not accidentally fire is to switch off which is very quick and easy
Also, all site will make you stick a barrel sock on when outside of playing areas so any accidents are minimised.
There will be a barrel.sock with the marker...
:)

The only gun I'm aware of that works with or without batteries is the phenom you already have.
Safety options on guns are:
Mechanical - no battery - with a safety to jam the trigger
Electric/electronic - requires battery - no safety, just switch off

If a gun has an on/off asa then the air can be stopped, but there will still be one or two shots worth in the regulator etc

Always use a barrel condom

Mini's are great markers for the money and if you get on the field with someone shooting a marker four times the dow you won't be out gunned.
Our whole team was shooting them a few seasons back and we were holding our own against some great teams and they are also easy to maintain for someone new to the sport.
For the past few seasons we have been shooting the Axe and cannot fault them. It's basically the big brother of the Mini and comes with a couple of things as standard that the Mini does not like the quick release tooless bolt removal, the trigger and the on off asa.
The Axe is a superb marker for the money and if you can stretch your budget a little you should be able to grab one at a good price in the classifieds.
Hopefully you can get someone to let you have a go of both at your next walkon and make your mind up from that.

Whatever you choose happy ballin
