Heavens Gate Tournament Update

Well Baz mate, I am well upset at what you posted on this tourney considering that both our teams get on well together.

You may well have had a bad experience on field 1 but the marshals on the field make the calls and that was how they saw it.

We as a team take pride in playing fair and if a marshal tells our player to play on then he does, if he says he is out then he will leave the field. What satisfaction do you get from winning when you eliminate players and you know you shouldn't even be on the field.

There is an ultimate marshal on each field and he has the final decision. Syd is only the tournament organiser and was not the ultimate for any fields. Yes he did play three games for us, but none of them were in the final stages. To say that it was being fixed is just complete bo11ocks and you know it.

Syd started organising this tournament 8 months ago and I think it was huge success but what has been said by you could potentially damage the tournaments reputation. I think the majority speaks for the opinion of the standard of this tournament and the majority doesn't agree with you I'm afraid.

Whether we won or lost it wouldn't have mattered because at the end of the day we just want to play paintball.

The fact is that over the weekend everybody played a minimum of 12 games, if you got to the finals it was 14, which I think is great value for money. The standard of the marshalling was very good, the venue was great with excellent facilities and three good fields and the majority of people seemed to have a brilliant weekend.

I think slating the tournament as fixed is not a fair reflection and is just sour grapes.......

I wasn't there it has to be said, but we normally have some cracking games with DOA and long may it continue.

Dredgy i think your right sour grapes, Syd and the rest of you guys have always been fine with us in the past.

There were only 3 Dark ritual players in the team at the weekend and Baz is not one of them.
We have all had bad calls but a marshall can only call what he sees we do not have video refs yet!!

Just like to say thanks firstly to the DR Rag Tags for letting me and a couple of my guys guest for them. It was an awesome tourney and we had a great laugh with them along the way. I, like Shock III only saw from the sideline so I am not going to say anything about the last game against DOA except for the fact that I wish I had been playing.

Thanks to Syd for the venue and the tourney, best venue I have been to with only a light exception for Crystal Palace. Really nice astro to play on and great staging area and on-site bar.

Wish there had been more teams for the weekend so we could have had a few more fields and make the event a huge one.

Well just got back in from the first day of the clear up !!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed we sure did hopefully we can confirm the venue very shortly for next year and make the event even better!

sorry if i missed anyone in the presentation i would like to thank all the guys who help us set up on the friday esspecially Blitz and the tigers (Cheers guys).

As for the last game Well it's a shame that it's been exagerated like it has the DR player mugged first spun on the mugger (and actually appologised for it afterwards) the DOA player was told to continue and did when he was shot by DR's front player he stopped !! We always play fair !WORD! in fact it's funny cos i seem to remember a DOA player puttin a shock player back in after the judge had worngfully pulled him at M25 leg1! Agreed it was a messy situation in that last game because the DR guy spun on the DOA mugger!

Cheaters SUCK we DON'T


Enough of that !

Big up to all the teams that made it was a great tourney thanks to the tigers for an ace game on the sat and welldone to team Zone (get u boys next time )
