Paintballs in Winter
Mark,
The trick to keeping the paint right is to keep the temperature at room temperature and the fluctuation low. Any heat you apply needs to be done slowly. Once up to temperature you need to keep the door closed as much as possible.
Instead of a blaster propane heater I would suggest a couple of smaller electric fan heaters available from Argos, providing you have a geny to run them. If not a couple of Calor Gas fires would be ok.
Switch both on when you get down to the site and when at the right level just use one to maintain this temperature.
Remember Room Temp is 70 degrees F or 21 degrees Celsius.
It's important to educate the other players too. For instance you should only take enough paint for the game you are to play and after you have potted up you should put any remainder paint back into the heated storage in a sealed bag (Tupperware / Rubbermaid pots can also be used.)
Using paint with a true Winter Formula will help to reduce the effect the cold temperatures will have. Arctic Inferno is one such product we produce that has this.
