Somehow i suspect all the tournie players are missing the point... its for scenario play, so slagging off the way it looks is a bit silly. 'Parantly uses the same Ion engine underneath but i wouldnt be suprised if it uses a reflective eye instead due to the side feed. *EDIT* Then again, looking at the position of the side feed, looks a bit high so balls might fall down into a vert feed position.*EDIT*

Looks like a combo of the G36 and the XM-8, i hope smart parts have got a license cos if not they better batten down the hatches if Heckler & Koch comes to sue their asses off.

I pretty sure that this is an ION housed in a mil-sim outfit.
i it is, then that's good

I hate Tippmans, they just shoot like crap.

Ions rock, so strapping on a milsim body is a great way to make a better looking high performance gun.

Bottom line is an ion (or something based on ion components) will outshoot a tippman every time, so this is a smart manouver, but a smart company (you see what i did there... ;) )

I can see this being very popular in the future.

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED FOR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS... who make up the vast majority of the paintball market.

Tourney players (both here and on PB nation) keep forgetting this, and think it's all about Tourneys.

This gun will not:
ruin the sport (any further than your collective ignorance)
increase people's views that paintball is a wargame
change the tournament scene in any way

Get over yourselves.

Well said....

Although, to be honest, any sane person into mil-sim and war gaming should really be playing airsoft over paintball. It's a hell of a lot cheaper if you like that sort of thing and you don't have to bottles and hoppers sticking out all over the place.

I tested this over the weekend with some of my brother's airsoft toys, as long as you have the velocity and hop-up set correctly an AEG will range very simular to a paintball marker. Fair enough they hardly have any energy in them at long ranges but it matters a lot less when you're not expecting the balls to break on impact.
