You'd have had no chance if I hadn't have had that stray ball!

I got clipped seconds after by the guy I was trying to hit when that one got away and hit my teammate.

Bloody paint!!

On another point

All these questions about the marshalling...tsk tsk tsk.

Field 1 we had some well dodgy calls on but hell you let them slide, marshalls have to call things how they see them.

Field 2 we ran foul of the marshalls sweeping the team for loose barrel bungs rather than just the chronoed players, but we got some penalties taken off (50 was a bit harsh) and you live and learn. Other than that little blip the marshalling on that field was great, unobtrusive unless you wanted them, or they were needed.

Field 3 I'm afraid had for me one of the laziest marshalls going. How you can call hits on the left hand side of a coke can from the right tapeline about 3-4 meters away I don't know. I respect the job marshalls do utterly, it's a crap job especially when people criticise unfairly, but if I ask for a check I'd at least like a cursory glance at the appropriate side and I can well do without a bollocking for calling for a check from the marshall behind me. Especially as me and two of my team mates saw the hit clearly.

Ah well, sometimes you get them and sometimes you don't. Other than those tiny tiny little annoyances I had a great time.

Our first two games weren't too great, then we maxed RDX, then we got a bit down over the penalties and the next game got away from us. Then we sorted out the two delta teams and I though we were in for a stride home for glory. Not quite to be that :(

Still I'm made up with 4th= if that's what it was. Wish it could have been higher but I'm still smiling and buzzing. More Sup'air please...I'm hooked :D :D :D

All the scores will be on www.series2002.co.uk in about an hour, plus the series limited paint results.

Hot of the press

The Council were happy with the way the stadium was left after the event. This is all down to Fraser and Steve (not me) plus their helpers.

A big thank you and roll on series 2003 at Scunny

Steve
