I have a halo brought it at the mardi gras open,it is bigger than a rev, holds less balls than a rev approx 20 or so less,a lot heavier than a rev,but feeds way better than a rev.I did a speed comparrision between the halo & a x-board rev with the latest paddel, both holding the same paint, the halo won by about 2 seconds & did not have any gaps between the paint like the rev.If you can out shoot the rev either slow down you rate of fire or go & buy a halo.It cost $140 but in uk expect to pay £100 +.Hope this helps.:) :) :) :) :)

I got my halo last week and I love the dam little thing.

The good: It will feed your gun consistantly no matter how fast you pull the trigger. While the halo is feeding paint it almost has a positive feed effect, so it quite litterally pushes the paint into your gun while rapid firing. This should cutdown on chopped paint while hammering out long strings at hi speed.

The bad: It is expensive, about the price of to rev's, but still not as expensive as the warpfeed. The size is comparible to the rev. It is a little little bigger but not much. And it wieghs a little more, about the same as a rev with about 50 pb in it.

If you have a fast finger and can out run your rev and you don't mind a couple of extra ounces (or gram's for you euro's) get one you won't be disapointed

In England they are MORE expensive than the Warp feed, i was looking at one last month and Just Paintball were charging £129!

Warp feeds are £110.

They were heavy and seem to take a load of batteries, but give me £129 and i wouldnt say no to one. I can shoot faster than revvy on my impulse.

SP HALO's

I know that the Smart Parts HALO's are going to sell for £100 + VAT. They'll be available by the end of the week, and all being well i should be taking some up to the Diablo Academy day on Sunday.

These are upgraded from the standard HALO loader that is currently being sold by Nationals distributors in Europe.

let me clerifi. I have the smartparts halo that comes with the metal bearings, and I'm not shore why but they say it's lighter then the standard halo, and It is quieter then the reg halo (or so I'm told).

The halo ma look bigger sitting on your gun but thats just because of the shape. When you put it side by side with the rev is nearly the same size. it just looks bulky because most of the mass is at the rear of the loader, so when you look from the back of the gun it apperes to be bigger BUT IT'S NOT!

As for price it is a little expencive, but hay so are all of the guns that can out run the rev, did that stop you from buying them. No.

An island in the rain
A mate of mine on my team got to use one at the indoor a couple of weeks ago and it fed pretty damn fast - they did the drop test, unloading about 140 balls into a tube and it did them all in about 8 secs or something. On the field though he had some problems - he was shooting two balls at a time and getting breaks and stuff, we think we finally figured it out: because the balls are in a sense 'force fed' down the feed, the balls usually fall into the chamber and sit there without rolling out of the barrel due to the ball detent. We think that the force of the balls coming down pushed the first ball past the detent and another one would drop into the chamber before the next trigger pull, thus the 2 balls at a time resulting in breaks. Hmmmmm.....might have been a one off, a weak detent (it was used on a Dark Angel) or the HALO is just too damn powerful and fast!! LOL :D
